Not as bad as it looked

Partick Thistle v Dundee

Partick's, on loan from Dundee United, midfielder Greg Cameron is in pain as his debut for the Firhill club ends with him being carried off on a stretcher.

This looked like a nasty moment at the time, Greg was obviously in a lot of pain as he left the field on a stretcher, apparently it was just a back spasm/trapped nerve though and he's OK. Good news, I've been out for a beer in his company and he's a good bloke.

Later in the game the photographer sitting next to me lost his Nikon 300 F2.8 and D2H to a tackle from a Thistle player, he'd put the camera mounted on his monopod at his feet as the player slid towards him and it took the full set of studs at speed - left the end of the lens jammed in the camera body. He was shooting for a national paper as a freelance - and didn't have insurance - OUCH

The second time this season that I've shot the Under 21s and I've been impressed with them both times.

First time I'd ever covered a game at Easter Road though and I can't say I was impressed with the lights at Hibernian's ground, it's a dark place at a night game - fine for adding a bit of atmosphere but not for photography.

First off camera flash (strobist) shot I've been at all pleased with.
